The winners of Al-Yusra National Islamic Art Exhibition!
Asalamualaykum
This email is to provide an update to the National Islamic Art Competition.
First of all we would like to thank each and every one of you for submitting your work. May Allah subhana watalla accept your efforts.
We had some amazing artwork from people (age ranges from 7 right upto over 50 years).
We auctioned those pieces which you very kindly donated and we have raised approx £1,100 (we are waiting for some monies to be paid and this will be verified in due course). Every penny we receive will be donated to charity and used to provide humanitarian aid to people of Palestine.
About 17 judges including ulema from all over England judged the entries so you can be confident that the judging process was robust and thorough.
The judges have decided the follwing:
5th place - Miss Henna Ali - age 17 from Rochdale 4th place - Mr Suhal Ahmed - age 28 from Surrey 3rd place - Mr Adnan Rasul - age 26 from Rochdale 2nd Place - Miss Haneefah Khatun - age 21 from Croydon 1st place - Miss Nourhabe Techache - age 19 from Rochdale
The top 3 entries will receive their prizes very soon insha Allah.
Our website will be updated shortly to include the gallery and further information.
